Traffic Control on LeadsADN SaaS Platform

In the operational activities related to performance advertising, as advertisers’ demands for traffic become increasingly precise, there is a growing probability of channels or traffic failing to meet standards being blocked.

In order to minimize operational risks and reduce the likelihood of being blocked, the LeadsADN SaaS platform has introduced a set of traffic control features to manage the quantity and quality of traffic. Specifically, these features include Click CAP, Schedule, and Audience, referred to as the “traffic control trio.”

Click CAP

Click CAP refers to precise control over the daily total click limit for a specific ad or the hourly click limit. It can be set according to the advertiser’s requirements and gradually expanded to new ads during the testing phase.

LeadsADN SaaS is a distributed system that real-time aggregates traffic requests for each ad across all global distributed nodes. When the aggregated volume reaches the Click CAP limit, the system redirects the traffic to other candidate ads. If these candidate ads also have Click CAP set, they will still undergo limit checks.

After the limit period, such as a new day or the next hour, the system recalculates the traffic for the ad.

Schedule

Schedule is used to control the open hours for ads. Within the local time zone of the delivery area, ads will be open during the 24 hours of the week when the target audience is active.

In the initial testing phase, the schedule can be set based on the generally active hours of the target audience. After obtaining a certain amount of sample data, the ads will be open during the high-conversion hours (click time) based on conversion data analysis and closed during low or non-conversion hours.

When setting the schedule, the system provides assistance with time zone selection. The local time zone of the delivery area can be specified without the need for operators to consider time differences, thereby improving the accuracy of the settings. The figure below shows an example of ad scheduling in the leisure category in the Southeast Asia region, where ads are only open during the audience’s leisure hours.

Audience

Audience is a whitelist of user devices used for ad delivery, typically for retargeting or similar user targeting activities. Only traffic from devices on the whitelist can receive ads, thereby improving the precision of the traffic. Advertisers can provide an Audience list or export it from a user profile DMP platform.

If Audience is set on both the LeadsADN platform and channel platforms (such as DSP), these two settings are idempotent or equivalent. If the channel platform is not configured and settings are done on LeadsADN, it ensures that the ad traffic undergoes at least one filtering before reaching the advertiser’s platform.

In summary, on the LeadsADN platform, using Click CAP to limit total traffic, avoiding inactive hours with Schedule, and improving traffic precision with Audience can significantly enhance the quality of traffic delivered to the advertiser’s system.

Additionally, LeadsADN also provides other related features such as smart links, multi-channel traffic allocation, and S2S traffic detection, which can be selected according to business needs.
